Vertical Vertical worked closely with s1homes' different departments to redefine and sharpen the brand. We developed a full set of brand guidelines and designed a brand-new website from the ground up - mobile-first and made for modern users.
Every touchpoint was crafted for a pristine user experience, whether scrolling on a phone or browsing on desktop. For property seekers, that means an effortless journey: exploring Scotland's property landscape with clarity, confidence, and zero friction. For s1homes, it means a brand that feels every inch as progressive and premium as the audience it serves.
Behind the sleek front end, we built something even more powerful: a real-time data feed. Previously, s1homes had only relied on a BLM feed. Our team engineered a highly intricate infrastructure that allows estate agents, letting companies, new home developers, individual sellers, and landlords to plug in and send properties live to the site instantly.
Alongside this, we delivered a full sandbox environment and an advanced admin toolset for the Newsquest and s1homes teams. This centralised dashboard empowers ad networks, content managers, and client teams to seamlessly manage data and campaigns in one unified hub. Many teams, one control centre — engineered to scale and built to perform.
Today, s1homes stands with a sharper brand, a future-proofed platform, and technology that's as ambitious as its audience. Scotland's largest property site is now faster, smarter, and more seamless than ever, and we're proud to have played our part in making that happen.
Working with Vertical Vertical has been one of those projects you look back on and think, that was a bit special. We knew we needed something bold to push s1homes into its next chapter, especially with the scale of data and traffic we handle every day. We are Scotland's biggest property website, so it felt only right that we teamed up with Scotland's most progressive studio to match that ambition.
From the very first workshop, the Vertical Vertical team brought energy, ideas and a level of attention to detail that set the tone for the whole build. Using the Quest VR devices during the design stage was honestly great fun. Standing inside our layouts, signing off design decisions in full 3D, and seeing the future site take shape right in front of us gave the whole process a spark we had never experienced before. It made everything feel more collaborative and a lot less like a typical design round.
Their management of the project was strong from the start. Every moving part was handled with care, and we always felt in safe hands. The design and development work has been first class, and the real-time data feed they built into the platform is already changing how we operate behind the scenes. It feels like a system built not just for where we are now, but for where we plan to go in the years ahead.
The final product is something we are all genuinely proud of. It is clean, fast, clever, and ready for the long haul. The Vertical Vertical team have been supportive throughout, and the aftercare has been just as solid as the build itself. No fuss, no drama, just a team who know what they are doing and take real pride in doing it well.
We would gladly point anyone towards Vertical Vertical if they want a development partner who actually delivers. They turned our wish list into a fully working platform and made the whole thing look easy, and we could not be happier with the result.
